At St. Apollonia, your child’s oral and overall health is our top priority. We are committed to providing your child with the best dental experience possible in a relaxed atmosphere. Recognizing that each child is unique and exceptional in their own way, the team at SADC will make it a point to always accentuate the positive of each appointment and guide your child through a good experience, often using a ‘tell-show-do’ method. Yes, you may sometimes hear crying as this is often how children communicate, but you will definitely hear laughter as well.
The St. Apollonia dental team seeks to keep up with the best techniques, procedures, and practices available to us in today’s quickly changing world. We attend continuing education courses specifically geared toward treating children, youth, and young adults. We bring this knowledge to our everyday work so we can offer parents choices for their child’s dental treatment. We’ll always keep your child’s best interests in mind.
Despite modern technology, we know that to a certain extent a child’s needs don’t change: they require compassionate care, comforting words, respect, patience—and more patience!
As stated, we believe good oral health and good overall health are intertwined. In order for your child to have the best possible health, we will spend time showing her/him how their daily efforts of tooth brushing and flossing can be improved. Dental disease is preventable, and together we will help your child have a dental disease-free mouth. When decay is present, we’ll talk with you about how to treat it so your child can get back to happily playing, growing, and eating without tooth or mouth pain.
Today’s parents have a busy lifestyle. We know parents appreciate any way we can help make communication easier. Our office will use texting, phone calls, or email to send appointment reminders and otherwise be in touch with you. If you have a preference on how we communicate with you, please let us know.
